Where the hell is yoshi?
So where have i been? Actually this blog has been pretty neglected. I’m sure that the 2 readers I have were wondering what had happened to me. If you follow any of the my other blogs, the ones I write to, like hello! yoshi, then you’d know that in July of this year (2008), I had a stroke. Well glad to say that recovery has been pretty much 100% and I’m doing great. As for this body, I can’t say that it’s doing so well. Right now, I’m in the middle of trying to get a kidney transplant. Yeah, that’s right, I’ll be on dialysis soon, and I’ll also be getting a kidney transplant. (hopefully) So that’s the newest really.
Oh, also, if you’re into things japanese, why not check out J-Crap? It’s a new site that I’m a part of, including Danalyn (in case you’ve been wondering what happened to her, oh faithful readers. Of course, Danalyn is one of the 2 readers of this site I think.)
Just testing gears
Ok, so since wordpress.com is now gears enabled, I thought I’d try this nifty google app out.
So far, of course, there’s no noticable difference, but I’m still testing it out.
I wonder if it’ll make it into 2.6 of standalone wp…I seem to recall hearing that somewhere.

If you didn’t know, I’m holding Free for all Friday over at hello! yoshi. If you’re not familiar with Free for all Friday, it’s basically a “meme” where you open up your blog for guest blogging for the last Friday of the month. It’s a way to get new readers, and it’s also fun too! You get to pimp your site, or anyone’s site really, and just let loose with the guest blogging.
So what are you waiting for? You know you wanna make a post.
A Little Scary
So my friend at cybrpunk.com has created a new web comic that’s been brewing in his head for ages now called A Little Scary. I’m a bit biased on how good it is, but you should definitely check it out and not take my word for it! Come on, go check it out now and make me feel all happy that you did.
Happy Easter

Yes, it’s Easter and it’s supposed to be a religious holiday. Something about when Jesus was raised from the dead. Ok, that might have been a bit blasphemous. Regardless, it’s never really been a religious holiday for me. I remember as a kid, doing all the fun easter egg hunts. Decorating the eggs, that was so much fun.
I don’t really remember much about the Easter Bunny, mainly because I never really got too involved in that. I know the Easter Bunny was supposed to be hiding the eggs, but I really knew that it was adults doing all that work. I don’t really even remember thinking it was supposed to be the Easter Bunny.
But I never got gifts or anything like that for Easter. I remember the first time I saw that parents were giving their kids real gifts like Christmas. I was like, “WTF?” but I guess that’s what you do on Easter. I never knew. To me, Easter was just a holiday where you hunt for easter eggs and get candy. That’s about it. It was like halloween for me.
But as an adult, I guess getting involved with easter egg hunts is not exactly the thing to do. It almost does seem like the magic dies when you grow up. Indeed.
What’s been going on here?
Well, originally this site was going to be used as a “backup” site just in case my “normal” site went down. It was really in the event of the Blogathon. But since then, things have changed, and well, I don’t really need this site anymore.
But you know what, because I like to spread myself thin, I might just keep this site just because I have it.
I might even make posts here. Who knows. I’ll have to think about it.
I might occasionally link back here or link to other sites, but I’ll have to think of what I wanna put here.
Meanwhile, thanks for visiting and looking around. I’m still here, just hibernating.
Send some loving
This is a crosspost from hello! yoshi
Ryan could use your thoughts at this time. He lost a faithful companion and great friend this weekend. Remington, his labrador, has been having issues with his rear legs and hips with dysplasia and arthritis. He had to put him down this weekend because he was just in too much pain.
Go send him some love and let him know that we’re thinking about him.
It’s all about the food
(this is a crosspost from hello! Yoshi)
I just wanted to let everyone know that due to my love of food, how much I love to talk about it, and how much I love to eat it, I’ve finally gotten around to getting a new site up exclusively about food. hello! Food is a new site that will have various things about food, including recipes, reviews, and just general “I love this food” type posts. There’s not much there at this moment, but bookmark it for the future, and add it to your aggregators, as I’m expecting this site to get busy.
I really wanted to open the site up for a community as well. So if you have a love for food similar to mine, and would like to be a contributor to hello! Food, then by all means, let me know, and we can get all set up for that.
